The Whitney-Gilman Ridge and Reppy's Crack

After giving a successful presentation covering most of the material of my disseratation on Friday in RI, I headed up to NH. On Saturday morning we began our ascent of The Whitney Gilman Ridge, the hardest climb in the country (when it was first done in 1929).

The obvious WG ridge as seen from the parking lot -
Matt leading the crux pitch. You are basically hanging over the inside wall of the ridge for about 20 feet! Very Exciting -
Looking back down the ridge from the top -
Bear tracks during the hike down from the top! -Reppy's Crack, our entertainment for Sunday morning -
